For the follow-up to their groundbreaking 1992 #1 Billboard Dance Club Play single "Surrender Yourself", The Daou once again enlisted house music producer Danny Tenaglia to deliver another fiery club anthem as explosive and definitive as its predecessor.

This would prove to be equally fortuitous.

Released in 1993 (via influential dance imprint TRIBAL America), "Give Myself To You" marked the latest chapter of The Daou's ongoing explorations into genre-expansive musical cross-pollination.

With its sweltry mix of deep house, acid jazz, sultry electronica, jazzy chill house and narcotic spoken word, the feverish opus was hailed as a breathtaking masterstroke that embodied the boundless spirit of innovation that would radically reshape and redefine the dance and electronic music landscape throughout much of the remaining decade (and beyond).

It was the perfect vehicle for Vanessa's heady poetic musings and alluring breathy vocals, Peter's virtuoso musicianship and Tenaglia's unmistakable "hard, dark and soul" sound, which would become their signature hallmarks.

The single catapulted up the Billboard Dance Club Play chart, where it remained for 13 weeks (peaking at #6), becoming another instant classic.
